Alex Sarsfield joined Mills Paskert Divers in 2019 and practices in the area of complex commercial litigation, with concentrations in construction defect claims and suretyship law. Before joining Mills Paskert Divers, Alex practiced at a well-respected Tampa law firm where he handled various litigation matters.

My firm handles labor and employment law disputes for employers, ranging from fortune 500 companies to local governments to sole proprietors.

 

Educational/Professional Background

Alex earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida. Before attending law school, he taught social studies and coached varsity boys’ soccer at a public high school in Tampa, FL. Alex earned his law degree from Florida State University College of Law. While in law school, Alex served as President of the Moot Court Team, Executive Editor of the FSU Business Review, and a member of the Graduate Fellows Society. He also served as a student ambassador for the law school, and he received the Distinguished Pro Bono Service award for his commitment to those who cannot afford legal services. Alex won a Best Brief award at a national moot court competition, and his paper “Legitimizing the Modern American Democracy Through ‘Fourth-Branch’ Institutions” was published by the Journal of Transnational Law & Policy. While in Tallahassee, Alex was a law clerk for an administrative law judge at the Division of Administrative Hearings, was a law clerk for the Florida Association of District School Superintendents, and assisted in drafting legislation for the Florida House of Representatives.
