Educational/Professional Background
I have dual B.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering and Biochemistry from THE Florida State University and a M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University where I studied catalyst degradation in Polymer Electrolyte Membrane (PEM) Fuel Cells in automotive applications. Most recently, I was the Program Manager for the Corrosion and Oilfield Microbiology Departments at the Intertek Westport Technology Center
Research and Teaching Interests, or Professional Field
I am interested in the development of novel biotechnology and biomedical devices, particularly in the area of cancer therapeutics, biomechanics, and biosensors. I am further interested in development of low cost technologies for the distribution in resources limited populations and especially in South and Central America.
