Research and Teaching Interests, or Professional Field
My research focuses on emotional regulation, empathy, and resiliency development through reading and the influences of trauma and mental health on learning. I am interested in utilizing mixed methods interdisciplinary research to understand the complexities of a child's well-being in the academic setting. My research also seeks to combine primary school pedagogy and curriculum development with mental health interventions to enhance trauma-informed classrooms. My teaching interests are focused on project management in the non-profit setting, research design, statistics, child welfare, and school social work.
