Educational/Professional Background
Yaqi is a first-year Ph.D. student in Nutrition and Food Science program under the guidance of Dr. Qinchun Rao. She received her bachelor’s degree in Food Quality and Safety at Jinan University (China) in 2019. After that, she came to FSU and earned her master’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science in 2021.
Research and Teaching Interests, or Professional Field
Her research focuses on utilizing protein immunochemistry to solve food safety and quality issues. Currently, she is working on the development of a monoclonal antibody-based enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the detection of finfish tropomyosin.
